- PS: Also, TJ, then I would state after a full investigation into this matter, and if these allegations are to be found true, then these teachers have no business being in a SPED environment and should be released from their employment.

- I don't condone cruelty in any shape, fashion, or form. I would agree that both teachers in this case showed cruelty. However, I am Not So Fast in passing judgment, and here's why.

- janellect, I was talking about following a reasonable diet and exercise. When you eat a high-fat diet, and you don't exercise, you are going to become overweight. It's that simple.

- Yes, Eric, patients have "no idea" what a doctor must do post-appointment; from going through records, looking up labs, following up on tests, following up with referrals to specialists, etc., etc.

I was reading your posts on the health care debate and I think you and I largely agree. We find it hard to understand why the richest country in the world has no safety net for the working poor when it comes to health care. Where you lose me is when you say HOW ARE WE GOING TO PAY FOR IT? I do not know either but I trust the political party that has demonstrated the most rational financial behavior to get it done, and I do not mean the Republicans. The Republicans are the ones who lead us into a costly and misguided war, they are the ones who passed a prescription plan without funding, they are the ones who brought us No Child Left Behind and cut the budget out from under it. I could go on, but you get the idea. An unfunded mandate is the Republican way but Democrats are expected to pay up front.
